Radical kindness

What is radical kindness?

Radical kindness goes beyond basic politeness—it means making an active effort to be considerate of others, being mindful of their boundaries, and treating everyone with empathy and respect. This extends to the performers, audience members, volunteers, and staff. We encourage everyone to look out for one another and help make the festival a positive experience for all.

Zero Tolerance for Bullying or Harassment

We do not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination. This includes:

  • Verbal abuse (derogatory comments, slurs, or demeaning language)

  • Physical intimidation or harm

  • Exclusionary behavior (intentionally making someone feel unwelcome)

  • Cyberbullying (hurtful or harmful actions online)

Anyone who engages in this behavior may be asked to leave the event without a refund and, in serious cases, may be barred from attending future events. The safety and well-being of our attendees, performers, and staff are our top priority.

Inclusivity at Our Events

We strive to make every performance and event as inclusive as possible. This means ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities, offering events that appeal to a wide range of audiences, and providing a safe space for people to express themselves.

Family-Friendly Shows: While we offer a wide variety of performances, some are specifically tailored to be family-friendly and accessible to all ages.

Accessibility: If you have any specific accessibility needs, please let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How You Can Participate with Radical Kindness

Be welcoming: A smile or kind word can make a big difference. Make sure everyone feels like they belong.

Report issues: If you see something that violates our radical kindness policy, please inform one of our staff members or volunteers immediately. We will take your concerns seriously and act swiftly to address them.

Respect boundaries: Be mindful of others’ personal space, opinions, and experiences.
